Preview: Taylor County Bulldogs vs. Jefferson County Tigers
Taylor County is 8-2 against Jefferson County since January of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Taylor County Bulldogs will be playing at home against the Jefferson County Tigers at 5:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
Taylor County suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Monday. They were dealt a 75-34 loss at the hands of Godby. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Taylor County in their matchups with Godby: they've now lost six in a row.
Despite the loss, Taylor County got a solid performance out of LeeAsia Johnson, who scored 17 points. That was a full 50% of Taylor County's points, marking the fourth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Meanwhile, Jefferson County's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their third straight loss. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 50-27 walloping at the hands of Aucilla Christian.
Taylor County's defeat dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Jefferson County, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-7.
