Softball Recap: Brunswick Academy's Run of Four Straight Wins Now Over

Brunswick Academy has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 2.63 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Tuesday. They lost 12-6 to the St. Catherine's Saints. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Vikings have suffered since April 29, 2024.

Lexi Vaughan Howerton was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run and two runs. That home run was her first of the season. Haley Joanne Reese was another key player, scoring a run while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
