Recap: Dakota Cougars vs. Chippewa Valley Big Reds
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Dakota Cougars had no problem doing just that on Monday. They came out on top against the Big Reds by a score of 57-48. Winning may never get old, but Dakota sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Dakota to victory, but perhaps none more so than Gabby Brooks-Foster, who scored 13 points along with seven assists and four steals. Another player making a difference was Samone Andrews, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Dakota's win bumped their record up to 19-6. As for Chippewa Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-10.
Dakota will square off against Stoney Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Dakota focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up nine on Monday. Chippewa Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
