Baseball Game Preview: Baldwin Bulldogs vs. Ottawa Cyclones

Baldwin is 1-9 against Ottawa since April of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Bulldogs will face off against the Cyclones at 6:30 p.m. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.

Ottawa will take on a team with plenty of momentum: Baldwin extended their winning streak to five on Monday. The Bulldogs came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 12-11 W against Osage City.

Meanwhile, Ottawa narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Blue Valley North 8-7.

Baldwin's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-3. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.6 runs over those games. As for Ottawa, their win bumped their record up to 5-6.

Baldwin might still be hurting after the 9-3 loss they got from Ottawa when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can the Bulldogs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
