Volleyball Recap: Southwest Edgecombe's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Three + How To Watch

SouthWest Edgecombe waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They put the hurt on the Eastern Wayne Warriors with a sharp 3-0 victory.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant SouthWest Edgecombe was: they took every set by at least 17 points. The final score came out to 25-5, 25-6, 25-8.

SouthWest Edgecombe found their leader in freshman Payton Carraway, who had ten assists and six aces. Those six aces set a new season-high mark for Carraway. Gracie Beeman also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

SouthWest Edgecombe now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Eastern Wayne, they dropped their record down to 0-7 with the loss, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coincidentally, SouthWest Edgecombe and Eastern Wayne will both be playing North Pitt the next time they take the court. The Cougars will head out to face the Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Warriors will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
