The Kiowa Indians will take on the Custer County Bobcats at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Custer County will be up against a hot Kiowa team: the squad just extended their winning streak to four. The Indians blew past Cripple Creek-Victor 21-1 on Monday.

Caden Watt was incredible, going 3-for-4 with five RBI, three runs, and two doubles. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Austin Brogger, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with four runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Kiowa always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .625. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Custer County, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. Everything went their way against Hinkley on Saturday as they made off with a 17-7 victory. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Bobcats as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
The team relied heavily on Taylor Bradford, who went a perfect 5-for-5 with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. Custer County is 6-1 when Bradford posts two or more runs, but 2-8 otherwise. Colt Moulton was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and one double.
Kiowa's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-7. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 20.0 runs over those games. As for Custer County, their victory bumped their record up to 8-9.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Kiowa has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.1 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Custer County struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 5.2 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Kiowa took their win against Custer County when the teams last played back in March by a conclusive 16-3 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Indians since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
