Baseball Recap: Lodi Comes Up Short

Lodi made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Becton, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Rams fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 5-3 on Friday. The Rams haven't had much luck with the Wildcats recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Angel Alfaro was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with one stolen base and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Maximillian Veloz, who went 1-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

Lodi's defeat dropped their record down to 8-12-1. As for Becton, their victory bumped their record up to 9-12.

Looking ahead, Lodi will head out to take on Hasbrouck Heights at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Becton will be paying especially close attention to the Rams' match: after the Rams face off against Cliffside Park, they'll take on Becton again at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
