Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Tartan). They were the clear victors by a 19-3 margin over the North Polars on Wednesday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Titans considering their one-run performance the matchup before.
Leah Borgwardt spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on eight hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Tartan got a massive performance out of Sydney Fearing, who went 4-for-5 with three runs, three doubles, and four RBI. That's the most hits Fearing has posted over her last 12 games. Another player making a difference was Aliassiana Jackson, who went 3-for-4 with one home run and five RBI.
Tartan moved to 4-18-1 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for North, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 15-7.
