Trinity-Pawling School took a six-run defeat the last time they faced off against Taft School, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Pride narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Big Red 6-4. This was payback for the Pride, who suffered a 6-0 loss the last time these two teams met.

Patrick Leonard was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Tristen Hong also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

The victory got Trinity-Pawling School back to even at 2-2. As for Taft School, their defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 2-2.

Looking ahead, Trinity-Pawling School is taking a road trip to take on Kingswood Oxford at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Taft School, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 12-2 win against Choate Rosemary Hall School on the 9th.
