Recap: Papillion-LaVista South Titans vs. Elkhorn South Storm

The Papillion-LaVista South Titans put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 49-39 victory over Elkhorn South. Despite the victory, that was the fewest points Papillion-LaVista South has scored all season.

Leading Papillion-LaVista South to victory were Bryson Bahl and Reece Kircher. Bahl scored 15 points along with eight rebounds, while Kircher scored 16 points. The game was Bahl's seventh in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Wes Frost, who scored four points.

Several Storm players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Aidan Skradis, who scored 18 points. The game was Skradis' eighth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Owen Musil, who scored eight points along with five rebounds.

Papillion-LaVista South's win bumped their record up to 8-0. As for Elkhorn South, they have fallen quite a ways from their 17-7 record last season and are now at 3-5.

Papillion-LaVista South won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Gretna at 5:15 p.m. on December 30th. One thing working in Gretna's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season. Elkhorn South won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Millard West at 10:15 a.m. on December 30th. Hopefully Millard West focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Friday.
