Softball Game Preview: Union County Yellowjackets vs. Chesnee Eagles

The Union County Yellowjackets will face off against the Chesnee Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Chesnee will be up against a hot Union County team: the squad just extended their winning streak to five. The Yellowjackets never let Whitmire get on the board and left with a 17-0 win on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Chesnee had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over the Grizzlies.

Union County's victory was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-5. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.7 runs on average over those games. As for Chesnee, their victory bumped their record up to 14-8.
