Volleyball Recap: New Covenant Christian Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Elijah Hess and Samuel Rotunda

New Covenant Christian came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Trinity Shamrocks, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Shamrocks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 two weeks ago.

New Covenant Christian took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-13, 25-23.

New Covenant Christian's loss came despite strong showings from Samuel Rotunda and Elijah Hess. Rotunda had 19 digs, while Hess had 14 digs and one assist.

New Covenant Christian has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season. As for Trinity, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-4.

Looking ahead, New Covenant Christian will face off against West Shore Christian Academy at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Trinity, they will be playing at home against Carlisle at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
