After losing to Providence Christian Academy the last time they met, Athens Academy decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Spartans had just enough and edged out the Storm 2-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Spartans.

Riley Harding was the offensive standout of the contest as she had eight digs and three aces. That's the most aces she has posted over her last eight matches. Riley Muir also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

Athens Academy's victory bumped their record up to 24-12. As for Providence Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 35-10.
