Recap: Curlew Cougars vs. Northport Mustangs
The Curlew Cougars were the 53-50 winner over the Northport Mustangs when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Curlew took a 67-58 hit to the loss column at the hands of Northport on Wednesday. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Curlew's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Logan Thompson, who scored 20 points. The contest was Thompson's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Luke Doyen, who scored 16 points.
Curlew's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Northport, their win bumped their record up to 1-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Curlew will take on Cusick at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Northport, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Medical Lake at 7:30 p.m.
