Volleyball Recap: Plainfield Central Takes a Loss

Plainfield Central was the 2-0 winner over Addison Trail when they last played one another back in May of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. Plainfield Central might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 2-0 to Addison Trail, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.

While Plainfield Central was not able to win a set, they sure kept things interesting: every set was decided by three points or less. The match finished with set scores of 27-25, 25-22.

Milo Nelson paced Plainfield Central's offense, picking up 11 kills. Nelson got some help from Vincent Trevino and his 13 assists.

Plainfield Central's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Addison Trail, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Plainfield Central will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Bolingbrook at 4:30 p.m. on the 10th. As for Addison Trail, they will face off against Taft at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
