League recap: Hononegah's league-best two wins lead to standings climb

Top honors in the league this week go to Hononegah, which finished with two wins overall, good for best in the league. The Indians beat Boylan 4-2 and Guilford 8-2.

Northern Illinois' longest active winning streak belongs to Hononegah (10-5, 4-2), undefeated over its last six games. Two of those wins came in the past week,.

The Vikings boasted the best pitching over the past week, holding opponents to the league's fewest hits and issuing the fewest walks.

Guilford's Sean Zuba led the league in strikeouts this week with two. With 42 strikeouts this year so far, he ranks first in the league.



Brock Boesleager's .667 batting average (2-for-3) for the Vikings was the best in the league this week. His average for the season stands at .345, which ranks second in the league. Boesleager has accumulated 19 base knocks this year so far.
