Volleyball Recap: Laurel-Concord-Coleridge Victorious

After losing to Battle Creek the last time they met, Laurel-Concord-Coleridge decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Bears walked away with a 2-0 win over the Braves on Thursday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bears.

Laurel-Concord-Coleridge not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Battle Creek between 17 and 19 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-19.

Rena Rasmussen paced Laurel-Concord-Coleridge's offense, picking up seven kills. Rasmussen got some help from Carlie Kvols and her 21 assists. Justice Olson controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Laurel-Concord-Coleridge's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Battle Creek, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Laurel-Concord-Coleridge will face off against Ponca at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Battle Creek, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Wakefield at 5:00 p.m.
