Boone better keep an eye on Marceles Carey. He was instrumental in DeLand's win, rushing for 164 yards and three TDs, while also picking up 58 receiving yards. Carey also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making four total tackles and defending two passes in addition to snagging two interceptions which he returned for a touchdown. Taihj Moore was in the mix as well, providing DeLand with two touchdowns.
DeLand was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 289 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 175 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.
DeLand didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. Carey led the group effort, picking up two of those interceptions all by himself. He got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
