They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Union City Golden Tornadoes 3-2. The win was nothing new for the Golden Tide as they're now sitting on three straight.

The team relied heavily on Alexis Wilson, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-4. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Macie Rowan, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Peabody pushed their record up to 8-7 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.0 runs over those games. As for Union City, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-4.

Coming up, Peabody will venture away from home to face off against Gibson County at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Union City, they will welcome Dresden at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
