Soccer Recap: University Prep Takes a Loss

University Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. While the 0-0 score might suggest a draw, it was the Red Bluff Spartans who were credited with the win. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-1 last Tuesday.

University Prep's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Red Bluff, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought when the University Prep take on the Redding Christian at 12:30 p.m. on Friday. University Prep's last three games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Red Bluff, they will head out on the road to face off against Lassen at 5:45 p.m. on Friday. Red Bluff's defense has only allowed 0.4 goals per game this season, so Lassen's offense will have their work cut out for them.
