Volleyball Recap: New Brockton Falls Short of Opp in the Playoffs + How To Watch

New Brockton and Opp squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but New Brockton had to settle for second. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bobcats. Unfortunately, that's the fourth time they've come up short against the Bobcats this season, with their most recent loss being a 3-0 defeat back in September.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Opp to victory, but perhaps none more so than Carreline Spears, who had 13 aces and nine digs. Those 13 aces gave Spears a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Crislyn Birge, who had 18 digs.

New Brockton has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-15 record this season. As for Opp, they moved to 13-15 with that win, which also ended their four-match losing streak.

New Brockton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Opp, they have already played their next contest, a 3-1 defeat against Straughn on the 15th.
