Baseball Recap: Friday's Loss Ends Bloom-Carroll's Winning Streak

Friday just wasn't the day for Bloom-Carroll's offense. They fell just short of the Amanda-Clearcreek Aces by a score of 1-0 on Friday. The matchup marked the first time this year in which the Bulldogs were not able to get on the board.

Bloom-Carroll moved to 13-3 with that defeat, which also ended their five-game winning streak. As for Amanda-Clearcreek, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-5-1.

Bloom-Carroll will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Fairfield Christian Academy at 5:15 p.m. on the 13th. As for Amanda-Clearcreek, they will square off against Waverly at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Tigers' pitching crew has only allowed 2.4 runs per game this season, so the Aces' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
