Soccer Recap: Caravel Academy Comes Up Short

If Caravel Academy was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Newark on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Buccaneers lost 3-0 to the Salesianum Sallies on Saturday. While losing is never fun, Caravel Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Delaware soccer rankings (they are ranked 26th, while Salesianum are ranked third).

Caravel Academy's loss dropped their record down to 3-9-2. As for Salesianum, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-2-1 record this season.

Caravel Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against Newark Charter School at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Salesianum, they will venture away from home to square off against St. Mark's at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
