Volleyball Recap: Hawkins Comes Up Short

Hawkins suffered their biggest loss since August 19th on Tuesday. They lost 3-0 to the Beckville Bearcats. The defeat continues a trend for the Hawks in their meetings with the Bearcats: they've now lost nine in a row.

While Hawkins was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-15, 25-20.

Hawkins' loss dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Beckville, they are on a roll lately: they've won 17 of their last 19 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-5 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hawkins will square off against Arp at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. After both having extra time off, Beckville and All Saints Episcopal will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
