Basketball Recap: Cedar Hill Takes a Loss

Cedar Hill was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They took a 71-52 bruising from the Lancaster Tigers. While losing is never fun, the Longhorns can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 324th, while the Tigers are ranked 42nd).

Lancaster can attribute much of their success to Cole Scott, who shot 47% from the field on his way to 18 points and five boards. Those 18 points gave Scott a new career-high. Everrette Jordan was another key player, putting up eight points and 11 rebounds.

Cedar Hill's defeat dropped their record down to 12-22. As for Lancaster, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 20-11.

Cedar Hill does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lancaster, they will challenge Shoemaker at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Tigers will be up against the Wolves' rather soft defense (which has allowed 62.44 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
