Basketball Game Preview: Wheatland Pirates vs. Colfax Falcons

Wheatland is 0-4 against Colfax since January of 2023 but things could change on Friday. The Wheatland Pirates will host the Colfax Falcons at 7:30 p.m.

Wheatland is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Center on Wednesday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Wheatland came up short against Center, falling 64-40. The Pirates have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Colfax). They breezed by Mira Loma to the tune of 88-32 on Wednesday. The Falcons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matches by 20 points or more this season.

Colfax pushed their record up to 11-4 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 37.8 points. As for Wheatland, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-8.
