Baseball Recap: Millville Thunderbolts vs. Cumberland Colts
It was a good run, but Millville unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Cumberland Colts by a score of 5-3. Millville was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Cumberland apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2019.
Kevin Dick made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and fired off two home runs while going 2-for-3.
Millville's loss dropped their record down to 9-15. As for Cumberland, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-11 record this season.
Millville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Cumberland, they will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Timber Creek Regional at 10:00 a.m.
