Baseball Recap: West Port Comes Up Short

West Port was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They took an 8-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Interlachen Rams. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rams this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-2 back in February.

West Port saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cole Cordes, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

West Port's defeat dropped their record down to 3-21. As for Interlachen, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-8 record this season.

West Port has already played their next game, a 10-0 loss against Spruce Creek on the 15th. As for Interlachen, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, an 8-7 victory against P.K. Yonge on the 14th.
