Softball Game Preview: Eastside Lions vs. Littlerock Lobos

For the second straight game, Eastside will face off against Littlerock. The Lions will be playing at home against the Lobos at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday.

Eastside came out on top against Littlerock on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run seventh inning. The Lions put the hurt on the Lobos with a sharp 7-1 victory. The Lions haven't had any issues with the Lobos recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Hailey Lavendier made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out nine over seven innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in March. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one home run and one double.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jordyn Ynestroza, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and one triple. That's the most doubles she has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Sayde Morgan, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run.

Eastside was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .406. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .367 or higher in five consecutive matches.

Eastside's victory bumped their record up to 12-9-1. As for Littlerock, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season.
