McKylee Hawkins leads a balanced attack to beat North Creek

Recap: Bothell Cougars vs. North Creek Jaguars

The Bothell Cougars stacked an 11th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Wednesday. Everything went their way against North Creek as Bothell made off with a 51-25 victory. Given Bothell's advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 14th, while North Creek is ranked 115th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Bothell got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was McKylee Hawkins out in front who scored 13 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. Another player making a difference was Charlotte Lipkin, who scored eight points along with five rebounds and five steals.

When it comes to explaining why North Creek lost, one person who can't be blamed is Mikah Hammerquist. Despite the final result, she scored ten points.

Bothell has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-3 record this season. As for North Creek, they dropped their record down to 9-9 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bothell will take on Skyline at 7:15 p.m. on Saturday. As for North Creek, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Mount Si at 7:15 p.m. on Saturday.
