Volleyball Recap: Jefferson Beats Grandview for Their Third Straight Victory

Jefferson waltzed into their contest on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Everything went their way against the Grandview Eagles as they made off with a 3-0 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Blue Jays also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Jefferson took every set by at least 11 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-7, 25-14, 25-8.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Jefferson to victory, but perhaps none more so than Louise Duepner, who had eight digs and two aces. That's the most aces Duepner has posted since back in September.

Duepner wasn't the only good servers: Jefferson was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 22 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in eight consecutive matches.

Jefferson's victory bumped their record up to 17-11-4. As for Grandview, they dropped their record down to 3-14 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight at home.

Jefferson does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Grandview, they will challenge Greenville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
