Volleyball Recap: Jasper Comes Up Short

Jasper was the 3-1 winner over Archie when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Eagles fell 3-1 to the Whirlwinds on Thursday. While the Eagles didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Whirlwinds 25-19 in the first set.

Jasper started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 19-25, 26-24, 25-15, 27-25.

Chloe Storm paced Jasper's offense, picking up 18 kills. Storm got some help from Brenlly Roberts and her 31 assists. Haidyn Omart controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

This is the second loss in a row for Jasper and nudges their season record down to 9-9-1. As for Archie, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season.

Jasper has already played their next contest (against Jefferson Independent Day), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Archie, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Faith Christian Academy on the 4th.
