The Santa Barbara Dons will challenge the Pacifica Tritons at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Santa Barbara's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for five straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Santa Barbara is likely headed into the matchup with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Oxnard on Tuesday. Santa Barbara fell just short of Oxnard by a score of 1-0. While losing is never fun, the Dons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 637th, while the Yellowjackets are ranked 43rd).

Meanwhile, Pacifica unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They and San Marcos finished up on equal footing with a 0-0 draw. The result kept the Tritons happy, as they haven't lost a game since December 13, 2024.

Pacifica's draw makes their record 12-1-4 this season. As for Santa Barbara, their loss dropped their record down to 5-14-1.
