Dynamic duo of Amariah Tomlinson and Jakaylia Roland lead Boyd Anderson to victory

Recap: Boyd Anderson Cobras vs. Piper Bengals
The Boyd Anderson Cobras entered their tilt with the Piper Bengals with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Boyd Anderson pulled ahead with a 37-36 photo finish over Piper. This was payback for Boyd Anderson, who suffered a 35-12 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Boyd Anderson was led to victory by Amariah Tomlinson and Jakaylia Roland. Tomlinson dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds, while Roland dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds. That makes it eight consecutive games in which Roland has scored at least 25% of Boyd Anderson's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kristian Watson, who scored no points along with seven rebounds and four steals.
Boyd Anderson's victory ended a 11-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 4-8. As for Piper, their loss dropped their record down to 5-5.
Boyd Anderson and Wellington will face off at 5:30 p.m. on December 23rd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Piper will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on South Plantation at 6:00 p.m. on January 8, 2024. South Plantation will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive.
