Softball Recap: Rancho San Juan Takes a Loss

Rancho San Juan was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 8-4 to the King City Mustangs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Trailblazers of the 23-4 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2022.

Alyssa Castillo made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Delylah Magdaleno, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 3-for-4.

Rancho San Juan's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for King City, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-5.

Rancho San Juan didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 15-4 loss against Carmel on the 4th. As for King City, they have also already played their next game, an 8-1 victory against Santa Cruz on the 5th.
