Softball Recap: Lehman Catholic Comes Up Short

Lehman Catholic fell victim to Newton Local and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They lost 15-0 to the Indians. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Cavaliers of the 4-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2017.

Lehman Catholic has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season. As for Newton Local, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lehman Catholic will take on Jackson Center at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Newton Local, they will square off against St. Henry at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
