Soccer Recap: Hillcrest Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Hillcrest can now relate to. They came up short against the Channel Islands Raiders on Saturday, falling 3-0. Having soared to a lofty five goals in the game before, the Trojans' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Hillcrest's loss dropped their record down to 12-7. As for Channel Islands, their win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-6.

Hillcrest does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Channel Islands, they will take on St. Margaret's at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. St. Margaret's will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Channel Islands surely won't give up without a fight.
