After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Wellington, New London was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They walked away with an 18-15 victory over the Mapleton Mounties. With that win, the Wildcats brought their scoring average up to 6.4 runs per game.

New London got a massive performance out of Gabe Ellis, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. Those five RBI gave Ellis a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Joe Gum, who scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances.

New London always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .644. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
