Basketball Recap: South Amboy Comes Up Short

South Amboy suffered their closest defeat since January 8th on Friday. They fell just short of the Piscataway Vo-Tech Raiders by a score of 29-26. The Governors haven't had much luck with the Raiders recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

South Amboy now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Piscataway Vo-Tech, they pushed their record up to 1-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

South Amboy has already played their next matchup, a 42-34 victory against New Brunswick on the 21st. As for Piscataway Vo-Tech, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Mother Seton at 5:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Mother Seton's defense has only allowed 14.8 points per game this season, so Piscataway Vo-Tech's offense will have their work cut out for them.
