Football Recap: McArthur Comes Up Short

Monday just wasn't the day for McArthur's offense. They had to suffer through a 45-0 loss at the hands of the Boyd Anderson Cobras. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 310th, while the Cobras are ranked 33rd).

Ariana Stoveall continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Boyd Anderson, throwing for 222 yards and four touchdowns while completing 84.2% of her passes, and also rushing for 47 yards and one TD. That's the most passing yards Stoveall has posted since back in February of 2024.

McArthur's defeat was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Boyd Anderson, the victory was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-1.

McArthur has already played their next game (against Cypress Bay), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Boyd Anderson does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
