Basketball Recap: Friendship Comes Up Short

If Friendship was feeling good fresh off their 55-14 takedown of Hinsdale Central last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Friendship Golden Eagles were dealt a 63-19 loss at the hands of the Arkport Central Bluejays on Monday.

Friendship has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season. As for Arkport Central, their win bumped their record up to 2-3.

It'll be Battle of the Birds when the Friendship Golden Eagles challenge the Fillmore Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Arkport Central, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Addison at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Arkport Central knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Addison likes a good challenge.
