Basketball Game Preview: Osceola Kowboys vs. Plant Panthers

The Osceola Kowboys will challenge the Plant Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Osceola knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 11 matchups -- so hopefully Plant likes a good challenge.

Osceola is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They blew past Riverview Sarasota, posting a 102-75 win. The Kowboys' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Osceola's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Luke Mccrimon, who went 10-for-19 to rack up 28 points and three steals. Mccrimon's evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Mundle, who went 8-for-13 on his way to 23 points and seven boards.

Meanwhile, Plant entered their tilt with Newsome on Wednesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They came within four points of losing the streak, but they secured a 57-53 W against the Wolves.

Osceola pushed their record up to 24-3 with the victory, which was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.5 points over those games. As for Plant, their win bumped their record up to 21-7.
