Bay State - Herget recap September 24, 2013

Wellesley moved up to 100 from 130 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Bay State - Herget. The Raiders climbed the ranks as a result of defeating Newton North 15-12.

Natick took down Acton-Boxborough 41-6 last week, the largest margin of any game. Troy Flutie threw for 282 yards and 5 touchdowns and ran for 32 yards during the win.

Natick's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Redhawks feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Flutie has thrown for 571 yards and 8 touchdowns this season, while Alex Hilger has 17 catches for 229 yards.

The Redhawks are currently in first, while Wellesley is in third.

The Raiders made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 5,954 from 7,188. The improvement was the result of 15-12 victory over the Tigers last week.
