Basketball Recap: Keenan Brady's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Oak Grove over Clinton

Oak Grove was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 56-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Clinton Cardinals. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cardinals apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Several Panthers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Keenan Brady, who posted six points and five boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Luke Schartz, who went 5 of 8 on his way to 10 points.

Oak Grove's loss dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Clinton, they pushed their record up to 10-5 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Oak Grove will take on St. Paul Lutheran at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Clinton has already played their next matchup (against Nevada), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
