Baseball Recap: Irrigon Snags Fifth Win in Last Six Games

The Irrigon Knights earned a 6-3 win over the Union/Cove Bobcats on Friday.

The team relied heavily on Brock Locey, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in May of 2024. Xander Olman was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Irrigon is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.5 runs over those games. As for Union/Cove, their loss dropped their record down to 8-2.

Coming up, Irrigon will venture away from home to challenge Sherman at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Union/Cove, they will host Weston-McEwen/Griswold at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
