Baseball Recap: Cajon Gets the Win

While Cajon's win against Redlands wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Cowboys narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Terriers 7-6. The Cowboys haven't had any issues with the Terriers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Marcus McQueen made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over 4.1 innings while giving up three earned runs off four hits. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in February. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run.

In other batting news, Zak Flinn was excellent, going 1-for-2 with three runs and one triple. Another player making a difference was Gavin Garcia, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one double.

Cajon's victory bumped their record up to 16-6. As for Redlands, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-11 record this season.

Cajon will have a chance to go back-to-back against Redlands: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
