Soccer Recap: Maple Grove Takes a Loss

There was early excitement for Maple Grove after they claimed the first goal on Saturday, however, they wouldn't score again. They fell just short of the Woodbury Royals by a score of 2-1. That's two games in a row now that Maple Grove have lost by just one goal.

Maple Grove's loss dropped their record down to 2-7-1. As for Woodbury, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-1-1 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Maple Grove will challenge Buffalo at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Woodbury, they will host Irondale at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
