Softball Recap: Quakertown Comes Up Short

Methacton hit Quakertown with a four-run first inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Panthers fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 7-6. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Warriors apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2021.

Kira Jefferson was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Leah Schwalm was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three RBI.

Quakertown now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Methacton, the win keeps they at an undefeated 12-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Quakertown will welcome Pennsbury at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Methacton, they will take on Pottstown at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
