Lincoln is 8-2 against Rapid City Central since September of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Patriots will host the Cobblers at 6:30 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Lincoln hadn't beaten Roosevelt on the road since September 1, 2022 but that history sure didn't bother them on Tuesday. The Patriots were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Rough Riders.
Lincoln walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the first set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-20, 25-16.

Lincoln had a senior duo take command as Julia Blom had 13 digs and four assists and Hayden Kok had nine digs and two aces. Blom has been hot for a while, having posted 11 or more digs the last nine times she's played.
Lincoln was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 11 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in nine consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Rapid City Central can bid farewell to their five-match losing streak thanks to their match on Monday. They skirted past Sturgis Brown 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Cobblers have posted since August 30th.
Rapid City Central wouldn't go down easily and took Sturgis Brown into a fifth set where they got it done with a eight-point win. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-10, 22-25, 13-25, 15-7.
Lincoln's win bumped their record up to 16-5. As for Rapid City Central, their victory bumped their record up to 12-16.
Lincoln was able to grind out a solid win over Rapid City Central in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, winning 3-1. Do the Patriots have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Cobblers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
