Soccer Game Preview: Oley Valley vs. Tulpehocken

The Oley Valley Lynx will challenge the Tulpehocken Trojans at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Tulpehocken will be up against a hot Oley Valley squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. The Lynx's defense stepped up to hand Twin Valley a 4-0 shutout on Monday. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Oley Valley's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania soccer rankings (they are ranked 133rd, while Twin Valley are ranked 456th).

Meanwhile, Tulpehocken made easy work of Hamburg on Tuesday and carried off a 6-0 win. Tulpehocken haven't had any issues with Hamburg recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Tulpehocken's win bumped their record up to 11-4. As for Oley Valley, their victory bumped their record up to 10-4-1.

Oley Valley skirted past Tulpehocken 4-3 in their previous meeting back in September. Will the Lynx repeat their success, or do the Trojans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
